Dr. Jackson is an executive leader, minister, author, consultant, and learning and
development professional with over 15 years of experience in the non-profit, faith-
based, law enforcement, and corporate sectors. He had the privilege of serving as a
senior pastor and police officer simultaneously for almost five years. During this
time, he observed a gap in many faith communities regarding security.
Dr. Jackson utilized his curriculum writing, consulting, and teaching skills to develop the Watchman Project training. He began to conduct training and site visits around Atlanta, GA. A few years ago, while leading a Christian youth development organization in New York, he became increasingly concerned with gun violence and its impact on his students. He was introduced to gun violence reduction by the God Squad in Brooklyn and started participating in their efforts. A couple years later, he was encouraged by the Mayor of Atlanta's Faith Advisor to help to support their violence interruption efforts in the area of clergy involvement. Today, his work has expanded from a workshop and an interest to an organization.
Dr. David E. Jackson has served at every level of the church from youth ministry, senior pastorate, and bishopric leadership. He is currently a credential holder in the Church of God in Christ (COGIC) at the Elder's designation.
